Information and Schedule for the Event in Amsterdam
We are pleased that you have registered for the WAIR and SPH event in Amsterdam! On this page, you will find all the essential details, as well as the schedule for the two event days. Please note that changes may be made as necessary.
WAIR will cover all costs for your stay in Amsterdam; participants are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the event. We have already reserved a room for you at the 5-star Amrâth Hotel Amsterdam for your overnight stay.

A walk together to the dinner venue

From the hotel we walk together to the Ship Chandlers Warehouse, our dinner venue for the evening.
The historic building, known as the oldest retail location in the Netherlands, can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes (300 metres).
Dinner at Ship Chandlers Warehouse

Enjoy dinner together in the historic Ship Chandlers Warehouse, drinks and Steven’s fascinating presentation on Amsterdam’s history.
Departure for the boat trip
- 20:45 hrs / 21:00 hrs
At 21:00 hrs, our pleasant canal cruise on a classic boat starts directly in front of the Ship Chandlers Warehouse. The tour takes place in an informal atmosphere with no presentations, so you can enjoy the evening in the true Dutch gezellig spirit.
Return and relaxed end of the evening
- 22:45 hrs
Arrival by boat directly in front of the Ship Chandlers Warehouse. Afterwards, from around 23:00 hrs, you can either return to the hotel or go out together to typical Dutch sailors’ pubs – as you wish.

Check-Out and breakfast in the hotel is possible from 07:00 hrs.
Please note: If you wish to be dropped off at Schiphol Airport at 15:00 hrs, please take your luggage with you on the bus as the bus does not return to the centre of Amsterdam before 15:00 hrs. Alternatively, you can leave your luggage in the luggage room at the hotel and pick it up when the bus returns at 16:00 hrs at the latest. The bus departs and arrives at the east side of Central Station (water side).
A black coach (The Experience VIP Lounge) will be waiting for you at the AMS Center Ruyterkade Oost https://maps.app.goo.gl/SVwm2Tq42nixWmW86 (7 to max. 10 minutes walk) ready to depart on time at 08:30 hrs. Please allow sufficient time to walk from the hotel to the meeting point to ensure a smooth departure.

Departure
- 14:00 hrs
Departure from Only for Men in Nieuwegein to Schiphol Airport is at 14:00 hrs. Upon arrival at the airport at 15:00 hrs, everyone with luggage can leave the bus. All others have the option of travelling on to the hotel. The WAIR bus leaves Schiphol Airport at 15:30 hrs to return to the Amrath Hotel in Amsterdam.
For those travelling individually, there is the option of taking a taxi or direct train (every 15 minutes) from Amsterdam Central Station (opposite Amrath Hotel) to Schiphol Airport.
