Retail without AI?
Not an Option!
Two days of Innovation, Exchange & Real Insights
In early February, the fashion & retail community gathered in Amsterdam to discuss the latest trends in AI-powered inventory management, ERP strategies, and digital innovations. Hosted by WAIR Retail Geeks, and SPH AG, the event offered two days of engaging discussions, inspiring keynotes, and valuable insights – with plenty of opportunities for networking.
Deep Dives & Engaging Conversations at WAIR
The event kicked off with a relaxed welcome, finger food, and an introduction to WAIR and SPH AG. Things quickly got exciting as Detlef Beiter (SPH AG) and Mitch van Deursen (WAIR) took the stage to share their visions for the digital future of the fashion industry. A major highlight was the deep dive into the WAIR Predictive Intelligence Engine, which uses AI to accurately forecast product demand a true game-changer for inventory management.
The discussions became even more hands-on during the VMI session, where a surprise guest from a well-known fashion brand shared exclusive best practices. One key takeaway: VMI and AI are an unbeatable duo when it comes to efficient inventory processes.
The evening was all about networking in a relaxed setting: a common dinner at the historic Ship Chandlers Warehouse, the oldest retail location in the Netherlands. Afterwards, the conversations continued on a scenic canal cruise through Amsterdam no PowerPoint slides, just great discussions in an informal atmosphere.
AI Meets Practice at Shoeby & Only For Men
The next morning brought a real highlight: the Shoeby Headquarters. Here, AI expert Remy Gieling took us on a journey into the future of artificial intelligence in fashion retail. Then, it was time to go behind the scenes during an exclusive company tour, participants got first-hand insights into how Shoeby is rethinking retail with smart technologies.
The final stop led us to the Only for Men Experience Store, where CEO Arthur Feenstra shared his experiences with WAIR a hands-on success story demonstrating how data-driven strategies are making retail more sustainable and profitable.
With new insights, valuable connections, and concrete ideas in hand, two days of exchange, inspiration, and practical knowledge came to an end. The conversations continue and we’re already looking forward to the next event!
