With Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and the industry solution IN:FASHION, the company now manages retail, e-commerce and logistics centrally. Customer Profile
NILE Clothing AG is a Swiss fashion company with a strong presence in Germany and Switzerland. Since its founding in 1983, NILE has stood for high quality womenswear, timeless designs and a clearly defined brand identity. The company operates a successful combination of its own stores, e-commerce and wholesale and employs around 200 people.
With its stable branch network, growing digital sales channels and consistent brand-oriented focus, NILE is pursuing a clear growth strategy. To support this technological development, the company relies on a modern and scalable IT platform that integrates processes across all sales channels and paves the way for further digital development.
Challenge
Due to a rapidly growing IT structure based on in-house developments and numerous parallel solutions, NILE was increasingly limited in managing and developing its processes. The level of complexity was high, the number of interfaces was considerable and achieving a uniform view of the entire business was difficult.
At the same time, international markets, new sales channels and ever-growing volumes of data were placing increasing demands on the digital infrastructure. NILE therefore decided to completely overhaul its system landscape. The new system needed to be scalable, consistent and future-proof.
Solution
The choice was Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in conjunction with IN:FASHION, an integated industry solution specifically tailored to the fashion and retail sector. The objective was to bring together all channels, retail, wholesale and e-commerce, within a single system and to create a unified solution that can be managed internationally.
The implementation was carried out in two clearly defined phases. The finance module was launched successfully in the first step. By using the agile SPIM method developed by SPH AG, the project was delivered in a flexible, structured and transparent way.
The Commerce Scale Unit ensured that all webshop data, from stock levels and prices to product information, could be mapped in real time within the ERP system. SPH AG also provided support with POS setup, mobile device integration and the development of bespoke applications with Microsoft PowerApps, including customer loyalty programmes.
Result
Immediately after going live, NILE benefited from the centralised system landscape and the improved data availabilty. Process control became more efficient, decision-making processees shorter and controlling significantly more precise.
By using the Power Platform internally, the team was able to develop analysis tools and dashboards autonomously, for example for evaluating in-store performance or analysing customs tariffs. Customer card registration was also digitalised.
Combined with the competent support provided by the SPH Service Center, a stable solution was established that is well prepared for future growth. The project was a particular success thanks to the active involvement of management and key users, who contributed openly and enthusiastically to the transformation process.

The partnership between NILE and SPH AG was characterised by openness, solution-oriented approach and mutual trust. Close cooperation and the consistent use of IN:FASHION standard have resulted in an integrated IT solution from which NILE benefits both in technological and organisational terms.
The company can now respond more quickly to market changes, scale up its digital processes and make targeted use of new digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence.
